Roman River Festival 2010
Quick plug for the eleventh Roman River Festival, with ten concerts of music old and new by world-class musicans in churches and village halls along the Roman River - starting with Bach at St Stephen's, Great Wigborough and ending with a Tango Evening in Fingringhoe Village Hall. There's also a family concert featuring Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf at Abberton & Langenhoe Village Hall and a morning of Baroque violin and harpsichord at East Mersea Church. Four of the events have sold out and the remaining six only have a handful of tickets left, so please book soon if you would like a ticket to any of them.

Tuesday 5th October
Romantic songs in Messing with sweet-voiced Darren Abrahams and jazz virtuoso Jack Ross
Thursday 7th October
Beautiful song recital by Mark Wilde and David Owen Norris under the stunning murals at Copford
Saturday 9th October 4pm at Abberton Family Concert for everyone but especially for those aged 5-12. Live wind quintet, Daisy Jopling on violin and Nigel Hildreth.
Sunday 10th October
11.30am at East Mersea - sublime Bach; violin sonatas played by Margaret Faultless.
